Like every year since the last 4 years, I go around the world every summer. The journey is different from last year, but we still go through the 5 continents.
We left France and continue in Scotland, Spain, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Lebanon, Republic of Kalmykia in Russia, Taiwan, Tahiti, Chile, Mexico, Peru and finish in Kenya
Smiles, rhythms, songs, dances and colors
The festival du Houblon in Haguenau has the ambition to make you go around the world in a few days. At first glance it seems very difficult, but I find that it happens brilliantly. Crowd gather in the city every year, curious and attentive. From toddlers, to young and old.
For me, the strength of the festival is without doubt weaving links with the cultures of the world in the space of a week.
If last year I had special access to attend the festival from inside
This year I was on the public side. To see how public mixes with performers, how dancers discover other dances, during break.
Since I discovered this event, I am driven by this burning desire to come back every year. And I will come back next year. And my kids will be with me as usuaL. it’s important to show them that the world is rich, full of diversity, different peoples and other languages.
